A HUGE 3 foot wide Elm tree with an engraved rock in front that reads, “I Don’t Remember Planting This!” LOL!!! I truly hope you all had a Wonderful weekend!! June 20 Graduation NightI'm tired today so I present you with another column by my favorite writer... except for Sue Lehman!! Great story Sue!!
Anywho, This was in the L A Times today and I wanted to share it, especially with all of you who have sons and daughters getting ready to enter college.
In just a couple of months, the little girl will leave for college.
Chris Erskine
June 20, 2009 This is the quirkiness we will miss, one of the oddities that will leave life a little empty after our teenager jets off to college in August, miserable August, only two months away.
The other morning, I walk into the kitchen to find Posh washing three waffle-makers the little girl had used to make breakfast for her high school class last week. As you may know, the last month of senior year is like the last month of an American presidency, nothing much. In fact, the teacher had turned the classroom over to the students, who took turns arranging activities, mostly showing movies and such. Well, when their turn comes around, the little girl and a couple of friends decide to make waffles for the class, since teenagers are always willing to eat, especially meals of dubious nutritional value. Before it is over, the waffles smog up the classroom so badly that the smoke detectors go off, the fire alarm sounds and the entire school is evacuated. Good thing our daughter's graduating high school -- before she burns the whole stinkin' place to the ground. Posh and I have always been very careful when it comes to making babies. We rely on the same birth control methods as hillbillies: whiskey and religion. Before being romantic, my wife downs a shot of Jack Daniel's, slams the shot glass to the bar and shouts: "Please God, not another one." Four kids later, we are still parenting, we are still together. A long marriage like this is an odd thing in itself -- like a lie detector test that won't end. "Are you mad at me?" No. "Want to fool around?" No. "Bowl of ice cream?" OK. Of course, lust is always out there -- irrefutable, like humidity -- but these days we are mostly bound together by our children. They are our hobby. They are our passion. They are our life. These are the questions we mostly ask: * Where are they? * Whom are they with? * What are they burning down tonight? This week, the little girl is graduating, another milestone, another notch in the bedpost! Not that everything is songbirds and champagne. One grad's mom has the shingles. That's right, shingles. Me, I expect to come down with hives or smallpox at any moment.
Just remember: What doesn't kill you just makes you funnier. Posh seems OK. She and The Graduate have been yelling at each other since senior prom. I think they are vocalizing their stress. When they are not yelling at each other, they are yelling at me -- their big, gooney wailing wall. Fortunately, I have Tina Fey's shoulders and Conan O'Brien's hair. If a guy like me can't take a certain amount of abuse, who can? (Here's a tip, dads: Just smile and promise to do better. It's much like a performance eval at work. You don't have to mean it.) "I'm hiding her computer mouse," Posh says the other day, as she tucks it between some unpaid bills. "What'd she do now?" "I took away the car -- now she's losing the computer," Posh explains. I don't know what the little girl did, but from the look in Posh's eyes, I'm pretty sure she killed someone. "Want to fool around?" I ask, hoping to make Posh laugh a little. "No." "Bowl of ice cream?" "OK, she says. What doesn't kill you just makes you rounder. We are like Lake Wobegon, except the kids drive BMWs. Other than that, we are almost exactly like Lake Wobegon. All we want is for our kids to be happy. This week -- graduation week -- we are a town of damp eyes and quivery lips. The consensus is that the kids have survived our parenting in ways that are truly remarkable. They have been taking AP classes since kindergarten, these teenagers. Now Purdue awaits. Princeton awaits. A whole gaggle of kids is going to Stanford. Stanford? Who gets into Stanford these days? Geniuses and wunderkinds. You little Einsteins, you. We parents are so proud we could burst. If we burst, there would be wine and whiskey everywhere. Then there are the tears. Lots and lots of silly tears. "Seems like only hours ago you napped in my backpack as I mowed the lawn," my buddy Pete wrote in a yearbook dedication to his daughter. I read that, and suddenly fatherhood had me by the throat. I was Steve Martin in the driveway, shooting hoops. I was Jimmy Stewart in that bar, wiping his whiskers with his wrist. Can we get on with this graduation? Before I just melt. Yes, all we want is for our kids to be happy. And tonight, their graduation night, they undoubtedly are. Their smiles are on high beam, their hugs long and strong. For 18 years, their beautiful smiles have lighted up our funky little town on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Now they are off to light up the world. Good luck, kids. Good luck, world. We'll miss you like sunshine. Hey!! The guy can write!!
Tomorrow we are going to the in-law's house to celebrate Fathers Day. He has an amazing yard with cactus and fruit trees!! I'll take pics including ones of my crazy in-laws and a few surprises!!!! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend..... It rained here today!! California?? June?? Oh, well!
Take care now..... Leaving that excellent song up. June 19 Thoughts For A Friday
* My Dad has been ticked at me lately (he lives in NJ and is 88) and wrote me a letter saying to never send him anything again…. So I sent him a plant!! Happy Fathers Day!! * Going to visit my wife’s Dad on Sunday. He’s a great guy!! Hope the U S Open gets rained out!! lol!! Did you know I hate golf?? * The roadwork our highway department is doing on our streets reminds me of MSN! All of the inconvenience for improvements and nothing improved. * Watching my neighbor Rod. Turned on his sprinklers and got it right in the face!! Oops!! That’s what he gets for firing my gardeners. * F-18 flyover today and I missed it again!!! Dogs caught it tho… They fly so low!! I’ll get a pic someday. * Dogs are doing much better with their ‘Itchy Scratchy’ thing!! Strange that Buzz has fleas, Bonnie has itchy skin and Baxter is just a scratchy wannbe!! * I think that Rascal Flatts is the best band of any genre around!! * When exactly did Kid Rock and Def Leopard become Country singers? * L A Dodgers playing L A Angels this weekend. When exactly did Anaheim, CA become part of L A?? * Lotteries her are at $57 Million and $48 Million!! I have tickets for both! * For some reason, my replacement Bose headphones are better than the original ones! * Finally, I received some sad news today,,, A dear friend of mine lost her kitty last night. A pack of Coyotes. I'm sure he put up a good fight. Disturbing!! I've run out of thoughts!! Aren't you all glad?? Have a GREAT Fathers Day weekend and stay safe. June 18 Spaces Has Problems…. Again!!
I guess MSN is trying to ‘Improve’ things again but dammit, leave it alone!! Quit trying to be a Facebook wannabe!! Those of us who use Spaces like it just the way it is! (I can see my space being deleted after I post this!!)!! It just seems as if every week they are doing something and I for one, don’t see results unless you consider results being not being able to send or receive comments! I would go to ‘Blogger’ but they have yet to figure out the music thing! Do I sound upset?? Sorry…. But Spaces is a mess right now. I’m done with my rant but I’m not close to being the only person complaining. Whew!! Not much going on today. Lakers have yet another parade today…. At Disneyland!! But I won’t bore you with details. But BTW, I thought it was ironic that their rally was held in a Football stadium during Baseball season!! And that Basketball court was brought over piece by piece from Staples Center!! OK!! Enough about the Lakers!! Nice weather today!! 75F and sunny!! I saw those horrible tornadoes in Minnesota and the upper Northwest. I hope everyone living there is OK!! Here is a pic of my favorite neighbors, Mary, Luke and Rod. Rod found out today that he has cancer but they caught it early. Well, pretty lame post but I’ll try to do better. At least I made some visits today to my friend's spaces today.... Whether or not they received my comments is anyones's guess. Toby tonight!! Funny one!! June 17 Laker Day in L A!!
Yeah!! The parade and celebration was today!! The parade began at the Staples Center and ended at the Los Angeles Coliseum where 150,000+ people awaited!! Quite the party!! Magic Johnson and Kareen Abdul Jabbar were there also. Very well organized and everyone got to speak. This is too GOOD!! They even constructed a basketball court in the middle of the Coliseum!! Unbeleivably GOOD!!! Especially with Randy Newman’s song “I Love L A” playing!! I’ll play it on my space today!! Laker’s theme song!!! Beginning Busing it! On their way!! The Coliseum...Packed!! Kobe! But other good things happened today (About Time!!). First, I FINALLY received my replacement Bose headphones. They are the BEST!!! Why in the world does it take BOSE a month to slap a label on a box and ship them?? I was getting tired of ear buds…! I also received my order from Helen Keller, I mean Harriet Carter! HEY!!! No Snickering!!! lol! Really comfy slippers and a new hose organizer thing! Now I just need a 4’ hose! Also, my wife bought a clothes steamer device, SteamFast, so I had to assemble that!! After reading the instructions I thought it would be easier constructing a nuclear reactor but I THINK I did it right!! I’ll know more if I hear screaming!! My neighbor, Rod, bought a new flag today. Good for him!! But he’s old, blind and deaf and was up on his ladder. That always makes me nervous!! I didn’t have the nerve to tell him that ‘Flag Day’ was SUNDAY!! All in all, a Great Day!!! Take care Yall!! Weekend soon!! June 16 Kobe Bryant… Please Don’t Hate Him!
It’s funny that the comments I have received haven’t mentioned the Lakers and what a GREAT job Kobe did ‘coaching’ them. Sure, Phil Jackson is the Coach and he passes Red Aeurbach as winningest coach, but Kobe was the true coach of the Lakers. So for all of you Kobe haters, SHUT IT!! He is a champion again, but he is an altogether different champion. Shaq Who???? "He has become a giver rather than just a guy who is a demanding leader," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said upon the Lakers winning the NBA championship Sunday night. "And that's been great for him and great to watch." Kobe has changed! Those magic moments are framed art. Yet the clearest snapshots of this season are the little things … • Bryant is leaning back in his chair on the bench in Cleveland a few more days beyond Bynum's injury, craning his neck to keep Bynum involved and engaged with specific advice about what Bynum could learn from a particular alignment that just played out on the court. • Bryant seems sure to fire away in Oklahoma City after Kevin Durant stops him on the previous possession, yet then idles down and instead waves Luke Walton into the post so Walton can use his extra three inches and 35 pounds against Kyle Weaver. The result is Walton drawing help and passing for an uncontested Odom jam. • Bryant stands and yells from the farthest corner of the court in Detroit when he was supposed to be resting on the Lakers' bench, trying to make sure Jordan Farmar knows while hounding Rodney Stuckey just inside the midcourt stripe that no pick is coming. • Bryant discreetly sidles up to Jackson in the final seconds of a playoff victory in Houston, acknowledging he hasn't really been trying to get the ball while the Rockets have been fouling on purpose – wanting to give Ariza, Farmar and Gasol test runs with late-game free throws. "I can go get it," Bryant admits to Jackson. • Bryant strides over to Fisher early in a Finals game in Orlando while the Magic is shooting foul shots to tell him it's time for him to get a shot, which he will wind up making. But Bryant also walks down to Gasol to make completely clear how Gasol's pick must be so Bryant can make his jump pass to Fisher: "Come all the way up to me," Bryant whispers to Gasol. The last game Sunday night was just more of the same. Yes!! More of the same!!! Next season!! Victory parade is tomorrow!!
Have a Wonderful ‘Hump Day’ Not changing songs.....
June 15 Yet Another Dinner Party! …. And The Lakers!!!!!!
This time it was our friend Anthony’s Birthday!! It was good times, as usual! We also invited one of my wife’s co-workers and her hubby, I liked the hubby and we talked for hours!! Anthony! Nice smile!! LOL! New friends Emily… And Brad! Of course, we had to BBQ! Chicken marinated in lemon juice, Basil and caraway seed with Pesto… Baby Back Ribs… Coleslaw and ‘Watergate Salad’! What you ask is Watergate salad?? Pistachio pudding, mini-marshmallows, walnuts and cool-whip! GOOD!!! Here is the spread! And the friends! And the aftermath….. Oh yeah!! Dessert! ‘Motherlode cake’!! This one was 3 layers but they also have a SIX layer one!! More chocolate than I could handle…. Guess who got to clean up?? I’m still working on it! *************************************************************************************** After dinner we settled in and watched the L A Lakers dismantle the Orlando Magic for their 15th championship and their coach, Phil Jackson’s 10th!! Loved it!! Say what you want about Kobe but he’s the best player in the NBA!! *************************************************************************************** I have to take ‘Itchy and Scratchy’ (Bonnie and Baxter) to the Vet’s today. Not fleas, but something is making them scratch constantly!! We gave them both a bath but that did nothing. What’s up? *************************************************************************************** The song on my space has to be the saddest Country song ever!! Joe Nichols!! Grab a hankie and have a wonderful week!! June 11 He’s Back!!! Part 2!
Larry “The Hunk” Handyman was back today to construct an enclosure for the new microwave. Now some of you weren’t quite sure if he looked like Randy Quaid so here’s a closer picture of him painting the enclosure. HAHA!! If that’s not Randy Quaid in my kitchen then who is?? He set up shop on my front lawn (GRRRRR!) but that was OK. Remember my neighbor, Crazy Lady (Charlotte)?
Then this Army transport plane flew over really low so she ran indoors I told Randy, errr… Larry that some of you ladies wanted to see him shirtless so he gave me the memory card from his camera to upload. Here are a few gems! This is the last photo he has of his Dad and him. Not sure what year but he sure looks young! Colorado River pics! Paddleboarding with his dog Sasha Waterskiing His Harley Jet-Skiing His Jeep And his view! Here are a few pics of jobs he has done recently. A really nice deck and patio… And check out this kitchen window! His ‘Pack’!! In the river… So now you know more than you wanted to about Larry and didn’t ask for!! LOL! He did his usual great job! Now to find a microwave that fits!! It has to be a GE because we have a rebate certificate. The enclosure just needs one more coat of paint, and then the blue tape comes off. Oh! BTW.. That load he took to the dump yesterday was 1.53 TONS!!!!! Continuing with the Female Country Singer theme, here’s Jennifer Nettles of ‘Sugarland’! June 10 He’s Back!!!!!Larry ‘ The Hunk’ that is! Our handyman. It was crazy in my neighborhood today but unfortunately it was at my house!! When we bought this house, 27 years ago, it came with a really cool kidney-shaped, ground level spa/hot tub. But it was fiberglass and slowly deteriorated. Here is what’s left Yeah, we had it cemented in. Filled it with dirt and old lawn furniture and let the concrete flow! But the old heating and pump equipment was still there…. Until today! That’s where Larry came in! What a mess!! Note the leaning walls! But he worked hard. Oh yeah! The electrical was still on!! This was the FIRST time he got shocked!! LOL!! He started filling up his truck. Nice truck too!! Ford F350 V10!! As usual he brought his two Australian Shepherds. I call them ‘Itchy’ and ‘Scratchy’! Nice dogs and my dogs love them. Some of the debacle More loading!! I bought him lunch, gave him water and stayed the heck out of the way!! This was the second time he got shocked! Lots of ripping things out and hauling Here are the final loads… He only charged us $300 plus an $85 dump fee!! Between Larry and my gardeners, WOW!! The electrical is still live’ (just ask Larry!!), but our electrician will relocate power to our outdoor lights. Also, we now have natural gas there so the plan is to have a concrete slab laid and place a new grill there running off that. No more expensive propane!! Here is what it looks like now, after the dogs stopped ‘marking it!! He’s returning tomorrow to begin work on a new microwave enclosure. Larry is a great guy!! House on the beach, surfs, works out and eats healthy. One question… Does anyone else think he looks like Randy Quaid??? ‘HUMP’ day!! Hope it was a good one!!! Same Trisha song tonight... June 09 Just Some StuffBecky decided that she was tired of watching the dogs scratching so it was shower time. My camera battery went dead so I only got the one shot. In Becky’s words, “Thank God!” This is Bonnie! She looks like a wet rat!!! Yet another plumber on a roof! What’s with this neighborhood… Especially the other side of the street! At least this guy didn’t barf! Mehdi left for Montreal today and then on to Morocco. It was a fun time as usual. He always leaves a ton of stuff behind. I was hoping he would forget his laptop and iPhone!! No such luck… Just clothes and trash. I drove him to L A airport (LAX), which always turns into an ordeal with the traffic and security checks. But he got off OK!! Think he has enough luggage?? He, for sure, didn’t forget his surfboard and that blue bag weighed a ton!! My dogs wanted me to thank you for your comments, especially Buzz. He’s been through alot. As for Bonnie, who knows! LOL I’ve changed passwords so hopefully you won’t hear from them for awhile. Haven’t seen the sun much in the past few weeks. Temps have been in the 60’s. Not California-like but come August we will be begging for it. I read that a new El Nino is forming which means lots of rain this winter. And boy, do we need it!! Trisha Yearwood today! Good 'un! June 08 I’ve Had It!!This is Buzz, Dad’s older, smarter and nicer dog!! I don't spell good! Dad let me read the bloggy things that Bonnie and Baxter wrote and they weren’t very kind. They are both overpriviledged morons who do nothing but whine. Before Mom found me in a shelter I had been living on the streets for three or four years…. I forget now. My usual source of food was invading chicken coops but I had to fight off those darned roosters!! I don’t like them! I was also hit by a UPS truck… I don’t like them either. When I got to my new home here, Dad took me to the doctor’s and the doctor said I had parvovirus, coronavirus, and an ear, sinus and eye infection. Then he found the 80 or so ticks I had on me. He removed them one at a time. I was not allowed into the doctor’s waiting room for a month and had to use the back door. I also had to sleep outside so I wouldn’t make my two new friends sick. Baker and Beatrice They were nice dogs but gone now. I didn’t know them for long but we had fun. About a year later I jumped out of bed and hurt my back really bad! Mom and Dad took me to a new doctor and he said I had fractured some bones in my spine. Mom and Dad took me to a scary hospital and the nice surgeon there replaced my spine with a new plastic one!! Bonnie called me ‘Zipperback’! Not nice!! It took me a long time of dragging myself around to learn to walk again but Mom’s cousin let me swim in his pool and that really helped. I’m part Waterhound so I have webbed feet. Poor Dad used to have to hold my rear up when I pooped!! I heard Dad tell Mom that he had use three credit cards to pay for my surgery. I love them!! I’m fine now except for a little hitch in my giddyup but can take both Bonnie and Baxter with one paw tied behind me!! Oh Wait!!!! UPS!!!!! GRRRR!!! Anyhow, the next time those two bad mouth me, remember who the Good Dog is!!! I’ll talk to you later Dad’s friends!! June 07 Gardener... The greastest!Well, Efren showed up today, his one day off, to fix a sprinkler valve, and informed me that the old plastic one was crap!!It was leaking badly. So he replaced them both with brass ones! No more constant dripping!! He said he would only charge for the parts ($260) but I gave him $300. He wore his new Lakers cap!! NICE!! What a Great Guy! Since my wife goes to alot of Laker’s games and gets free stuff, we gave him Lakers things for his kids. He even reprogrammed the sprinklers for me!! He’s such a nice guy and a hard worker!! NO!! You can’t have him!! LOL! *************************************************************************************** Our Moroccan friend Medhi is here after being in Bali for a month. We had a BBQ last night…… Pork ribs! But of course, being Muslim he can’t eat them. He had salmon and I stole some!! Then the wife and him jumped in the hammock! I cooled things off by throwing a few dogs in with them.
He had a 'date' last night...... at midnight!! Took Becky's 350Z. He'll show up when he's hungry! As for me, kicking back!! Watching NASCAR and waiting for thw Lakers game. My Phillies and Dodgers on ESPN also!! I hope Yall had nice weekends!!
June 06 Lest We Forget…. June 6th, 1944Today is June 6th. On this date in 1944 the battle of Normandy, France began with the beach landings at Omaha, Utah, Iowa beaches where the U S and our allies cracked the Nazi’s grip on Europe. 215,000 U S and allied soldiers gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today, along with an equal number of German soldiers. If not for their heroism we would be speaking German and eating Weinersnitzel today. And yet, as I look around, it seems as if no one else is flying their flag! Have we forgotten?? My uncle John was at Utah Beach and besides some shell-shock, he made it home to his Mama and Daddy! I still look up to him. Anyhow, my flag is proudly flying! I can see it as I type this. I read this today: LA CAMBE, France – Americans and Germans who were bitter enemies during the D-Day invasion of France shared stories and moments of silence at a Normandy ceremony Friday, joining together to honor those who perished in the epochal World War II beach landings. They held their poignant, low-key ceremony at the German cemetery at La Cambe a day before an international commemoration nearby, led by President Barack Obama, to mark 65 years since Allied forces landed on Normandy's shores. Military bands played anthems of the United States, Germany, Britain and France, and visitors piled wreaths at the foot of a mound at the center of the cemetery. Some 22,000 German soldiers are buried beneath clusters of rounded brown crosses in a grassy meadow not far from Omaha Beach. Flags from nations who fought each other in World War II flew in the spring breeze. Generations have passed, but remnants of the war continue to surface. After the ceremony, most visitors headed out, but a few dozen stayed on in a corner of the cemetery, where a German pastor and a few soldiers buried the remains of a German soldier discovered last year. A Frenchman conducting construction work at the German battery at Grandcamp Maisy, 5 miles (8 kilometers) away, came across first a gun and then the remains, which have yet to be identified. "It's a great feeling ... to come here," said Austin Cox of Crisfield, Maryland, a sergeant with the 29th Division of the U.S. 115th Infantry Regiment who landed on Omaha Beach at 9 a.m. on the epic day that turned the tide of World War II. "My comrades, though, are buried over at Omaha," said Cox, 90, recalling the high tide that carried him onto the expanse of beach. The main American cemetery at Colleville-Sur-Mer has about 9,300 graves. Most U.S. war dead were repatriated. Karl-Heinz Mayer of Oldenburg, Germany, has comrades at La Cambe, where a low, granite entrance leads into the cemetery containing the graves of the German soldiers, each marked with a small, flat stone. Unidentified bodies are marked simply, "ein Deutscher soldat," a German soldier. At Friday's ceremony, Mayer recalled lying wounded on the fields of Normandy 65 years ago. An American soldier roused him with his boot, Mayer said. He said he was eventually sent to the United States to be treated for his wounds. "Today I am here for the last time, because I'm 83 and I'm not that well," he said. "We shake hands, we are all normal people. And I hope there will never be a war again because this slaughter was horrible." American vet Bill Ryan, of the 16th Infantry Regiment, also at Friday's ceremony, told Associated Press Television News some of his war experiences resembled that of his namesake in Steven Spielberg's film "Saving Private Ryan." Spielberg and actor Tom Hanks were expected to join some U.S. veterans on a special train from Paris to Normandy on Saturday morning. The big event is Saturday, when Obama, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the Canadian and British prime ministers and Prince Charles gather for a ceremony amid the rows of white crosses and Stars of David at the American cemetery, which is U.S. territory. As the quiet commemoration unfolded in Normandy, honors were bestowed on 45 American, Canadian and British veterans in an elaborate ceremony in Paris that Hanks attended. "France is paying tribute to those who re-established our liberty ... ," said Defense Minister Herve Morin at the gold-domed Hotel des Invalides, where Napoleon's tomb is housed. "France remembers who they were and what France owes them," he said. The 45 were given the coveted Legion of Honor award. Most of those present were Americans, many of whom had taken part in the storming of the beaches of Normandy. Most struggled to their feet and saluted or placed hand on heart as a brass military band played the American, Canadian, British and French national anthems. Commemoration events, from re-enactments to school concerts, were being held in seaside towns and along the five landing beaches that stretch across 50 miles (80 kilometers) of Normandy coastline. Some 215,000 Allied soldiers, and roughly as many Germans, were killed or wounded during D-Day and the ensuing nearly three months it took to secure the Allied capture of Normandy. Early Friday, some 130 British paratroopers from the 3rd Parachute Battalion swooped down on Ranville, where paratroopers from the 6th Airborne Division landed in darkness in the early hours of June 6, 1944, helping secure a key point on the Allies eastern flank. Friday's landing, under sunny morning skies, ended peacefully in wheat fields. Later Friday, a fireworks display was planned up and down the shore where Allied troops launched the Battle of Normandy.
I may have to watch “Saving Private Ryan” tonight!! Have a nice weekend..... But remember! And if you don't like this Jamie Johnson song, I'm speechless!! June 05 Rebuttal…… Yeah, It’s Bonnie!!Who did you expect? That wimp Buzz? I OWN him!! Look at him!! What a doofus!! He can’t even spell!! When Dad turns on the hose he runs for his life!! The only thing he’s good for is…….. I forgot! I’m too busy looking cute!! See??? People say I look like Tina Turner….. Who the H%*$ is she?? I’m my own girl!! And if Dad tries to dress me like this again… I swear I’ll take his finger off!!! That little S*%$ Baxter is even worse!! That shot DID hurt!! I can barely chase a squirrel now!! I’ll fix all of them!! Maybe leave Dad a little ‘treat’ in his bed too! But Baxter is on my last nerve and he thinks he calls that fighting back, I’ll show him!! Little wimp!! He’ll be under the bed all day!! Look at him!! The fireplace isn’t even on!! What an idiot! Oh wait!! Mailman!!!! OK, where was I?? Oh yeah!! Baxter! I had to threaten him to get Dad’s password but he folded like ….. I don’t know! Something cheap!! Anyhow, I’m back in charge here now! And if you don’t like it, talk to the paw!!! A bandaid on his nose?? Wimp!!!
OK my peeps!! I know you all adore me and love me (who wouldn’t?) , but I got things to do! I think I’ll start by pulling all 128 toys out of the box and not playing with them! Mom and dad HATE that!! I just laugh and scratch myself!! As Dad would say, “Have a GREAT Weekend”! What a jerk he is!! Some handy guy is coming today so I have to get ready to bite his ankles. I’ll talk at you later, when I’m good and ready!! Wait!! I have an attitude??? *&$%#@*!!! *************************************************************************************** Bob again…… Sheesh!! I guess I need a trickier password. This is getting out of control! And I don’t care what Bonnie says, I DO hope you have a Great Weekend!! Good older song today... Craig Morgan GO LAKERS!!! June 03 Shhhhh….. This is Baxter!!Remember me?? Please don’t tell my Dad that I’m doing that bloggy thing again! Mom was nice and put a bandaid on my nose because that’s how I blog. I wish I had fingers! Dad is gone for now and I figured out his password. Pretty sneaky guy…. He used MY name!! He took the other two mugs to the groomers for a bath and whatever. They stunk like dogs and it was annoying me. Of course me, being a Dachshund, never smell bad! Dachshunds are the BEST!!! That stupid stepsister of mine, Bonnie, is just a pain in my rear end and my stepbrother, Buzz, is just a clod….. But we get along. They pick on me alot but I fight back now!! If only I had longer legs! I hope they both get shots today and they hurt! That will fix them!! HAH!! Dad took alot of those photo things the other day. He said it was some kinda TV add or something. I don’t understand what he’s saying half the time. I thought it sounded like fun so I barked and barked, hoping to have my sweet doggie voice included. They had to keep stopping so Dad yelled at me and locked me in the house. I hate that pet door I’m forced to use!! There went my TV career! Hang on….. my bandaid is falling off! OK! So I have the house to myself for awhile. I would take a nap but why waste all of this freedom? Maybe I’ll get into something, steal his socks or just roll around in the dirt. But when Dad gets home I’ll act all cute and show him what a good boy I was. Humans are so easy to fool!! See how much cuter I am than Buzz?? Uh oh!! Dad’s home!! Time to look cute, pretend to be napping and tease the other two! I had better take off this bandaid. I sure hope my cell-mates smell better!! It’s always fun to talk to Dad’s friends. Do you think Dad will see this? *************************************************************************************** Dang!! This is Bob! Sorry about that…. Guess I’ll have to change passwords again before Bonnie weasels it out of him!! I do NOT want her on here!! That’s only trouble. Now I have to figure how Baxter learned to add photos and color!!! And what’s this bandaid doing on my keyboard?? Be good to each other, Bob~ |
